Shane Vallance

Shane is an experienced economic development professional, economist, researcher, appraiser and evaluation practitioner - providing services to public, private and social purpose organisations. Since 2012 he has operated as a freelance consultant and established Moor Economics Ltd in 2019. He provides services to public, private and social purpose organisations. He has strong analytical skills, which have been applied in a variety of environments within the economic development and planning sphere. He has provided analytical support for Three Dragons since summer 2025. 

Alongside his work for Three Dragons and through Moor Economics, Shane has worked on an Associate basis for many years for Ash Futures and he also currently works as an Economic Associate for Olsberg SPI, a global consultancy focused on providing economic support to the screen-based sector. He also previously worked as an Economic Associate for Pro Bono Economics. 

Shane holds an MSc (Econ) in Development Economics from the University of Bristol and a BSc (Econ) in Economics from the University of Cardiff.
