Lin Cousins BA, MRTPI started
her career as a town planner. But over time she has moved
into the arena of housing policy development and the way the
planning system delivers affordable housing and mixed
communities. Lin specialises in the housing needs of key
workers and the role of intermediate housing. She has
experience of development agency work and has used to this
to advantage in undertaking a number of major (sub) regional
policy studies. Lin is a Board member of Signpost Housing Association and on the Executive Committee of her local Chamber of

Kathleen Dunmore is an
economist with over 25 years experience in housing and
construction. She worked for many years for the House
Builders Federation and before that for Milton Keynes
Development Corporation. She is an expert on the economics
of development and has worked extensively on the provision
of affordable housing in rural areas and in the growth
areas. She has a particular interest in the development of
mixed communities. She is a former Chairman of Midsummer
Housing Association and is an approved Contractor with the
Planning Advisory Service for whom she is currently working
on Planning Delivery Agreements. More...

Andrew Golland, BSc (Hons),
PhD, MRICS is the newest member of the Three Dragons team.
He worked until recently in the academic sector carrying out
applied research and consultancy in the fields of land,
planning and housing policy. He is author of a leading
textbook, Housing Development: Theory, Process and Practice.
Andrew is a chartered surveyor by profession and the focus
of his research and consultancy is housing market analysis
in all forms. This encompasses development viability
appraisal, urban housing capacity assessment and housing
market profiling. He has worked extensively for public and
private sector clients at national, regional and local

Jane Smith BA (Hons) has had a
long and varied career in housing, having worked for local
authorities, housing co-operative and housing associations,
in addition to national and regional organisations. She
spent a number of years working for the National Housing
Federation, firstly as a regional officer and subsequently
Head of Midlands Regions.
Jane has been a housing consultant since 2000. Her
commissions have included housing strategy and development
work for local authorities; developing regional housing
strategies; tenant and board member training; research and
evaluation projects. She has worked with 13 local
authorities; 15 housing associations; regional agencies in
the East and East Midlands; the Countryside Agency and the
National Consumer Council. |
